Bio

Eric Ellsperman has been a resident of the Town of Newburgh for 14 years and has lived in the Newburgh area for over 20 years.  Mr. Ellsperman has two sons Chris and Spencer.  Eric is a graduate of Vincennes University.

He currently works as a Sales Account Manager and previously worked in the Funeral Services profession.  Eric served as a member of the Newburgh Parks & Recreation Board for over 8 years including serving as the Board's vice president.  Eric formerly was a member of Newburgh Junior Baseball where he was selected as President of the Babe Ruth League.  For the past 20 years he has participated in numerous youth programs and community service as a coach for both youth baseball and basketball teams in the Newburgh area.

Eric has also worked as a volunteer with many other groups and causes and any time he is ever asked he is always willing to volunteer.  An example of this volunteer spirit is the work he does with the Warrick County Chapter of the American Red Cross.  Eric has consistently demonstrated the ability to work well with both businesses and individuals on a personal and a professional level.

Eric was first elected to the Newburgh Town Council in 2006.  In his role as a council member he is the Council's Liaison on the Newburgh Parks & Recreation Board.  Eric also sits on the Utility Board, and is the Liaison to the Newburgh Board of Aviation Commissioners.

Eric also serves as the Chairman of the Rivertown Trail Committee which recently completed Phase One from the Old Lock & Dam Park to the new B. Gene Aurand Trailhead. The trail will eventually lead from the Angel Mounds State Park to the New Lock & Dam Park near the Indian Hill Overlook Park.

Goals

When Eric was elected to the Newburgh Town Council he has continued his efforts to encourage more residents of Newburgh to get involved with town projects and interests, by encouraging them to offer their support by volunteering for some of the many town boards and organizations.  Eric also feels it is important to help persuade people to register and vote to further support the community and have more of a voice in its operation.

Eric feels that by having more community involvement by our citizens it will help to continue the upward successes of the Town of Newburgh.  He also sees the importance of preserving our historic roots by continuing to maintain our well known quaint town stature.

Eric is proud of his public service, and he has made the commitment to provide the type of leadership that Newburgh residents deserve from their town council and he will continue the bi-partisan relationship that has existed among council members, working together for common goals.

Eric will continue to work hard on your behalf and greatly appreciates everyone's support who voted for him.
