Bio
-
Gerald Bass is a resident of
Folsomville and graduated from Boonville High School. He was born,
raised and lived most of his life not only in Warrick County but
also in the district he represents. Gerald worked for 17 years at
Essex Wire in Warrick County, as well as working for several years
serving Warrick County residents as an animal control officer. Prior
to that, he worked at Faultless Caster in Evansville.

Gerald has served as precinct
committeeman many times over the past few years. One of the greatest
awards he has received has been the good will of the public, by
being able to help them whenever they have needed it. Gerald was
first selected for the county council after the sudden passing of 28
tear councilman Raymond Bracher and is currently completing a 4 year
term on the council.
Goals
-
Gerald's working with the people as a
public servant has given him the desire to make good decisions for
all the people. He also will strive to represent all the citizens of
Warrick County including the rural sections in the northern end of
the county.
Gerald plans to accomplish this by ensuring he has better contact
with all Warrick County residents by making himself available by
telephone or in person in his district for whatever the citizens
need. He says it is important for elected officials to work with the
people of the county.
Gerald feels economic development and jobs are the #1 priority for
our citizens. The second largest challenge is attempting to continue
good service for all the citizens of Warrick County, fairly and
evenly, but by still holding the line on taxes in our extreme
economic conditions.
Gerald is seeking re-election because he feels he has proven his
ability to work for all the citizens of Warrick County and to work
with all the other decision makers in the county.
Gerald has been accessible to the citizens nearly full time, and
works to get elected full time. Change is inevitable but cash flow
conditions will make it tougher to do a lot of the things that are
needed in Warrick County. Conservative, prudent spending is what
will be necessary to keep the county budget in order.
When everybody is in chaos, the people of Warrick County suffer. To
represent the people correctly, he doesn't feel that (republican or
democrat) politics should be a part of the council and merely wishes
to represent the citizens best that he can.
Gerald wants to be a voice for all the people.
