Larry is a
lifelong resident of Warrick
County. He graduated from
Boonville
High School
and attended the University
of Southern Indiana,
with a Business Management major.
He also attended Ivy Tech as an electrical apprentice with Alcoa.
He and his wife Sheila, the Assistant Director of the
Warrick County Plan Commission, have been married for
thirty-eight years. They have two
children and five grandchildren residing in Warrick County.
Larry was employed at Alcoa for 33 ½
years and retired after winning the Auditor’s Office in 2006.
He is a member of the Elks Lodge 1180, an associate member of the
Fraternal Order of Police and a member of the Sons of the American
Legion.
Accomplishments
- Larry Instituted Direct Deposit for
all county employees. This not only was convenient for the
employees, but was a big cost savings for the county. He also
worked with other departments with the merging of the think map
system and other office software in order to have a better ability
to access the taxing, assessing and mapping information. This
allows offices and the general public to have the ability to obtain
needed information electronically. He has created a web site for the
taxpayers to access to be able to contact his office and connect to
the state website for all their tax deduction information and forms.
Goals
- Auditor Lacer will continue to
work and serve the taxpayers of Warrick County. He has always
given 100% and will continue to do so. Larry will continue to
maintain a courteous, friendly and professionally run office and
will always put the taxpayer first. He will always look for
ways to save tax dollars and serve in a way we can all be proud of.
