Problem Solver - Serving
as a physician for more than 20 years, he has been in his share of tight
spots. He considers his ability to find solutions to difficult problems
as one of his best qualities. Often this means thinking "outside the
box" and convincing those of differing points of view to be part of the
solution.
Peacekeeper/Arbitrator
-
As the father of three teenagers and three grown step-children, he
has had 20 plus years of on the job training in delicate
negotiations, motivating the unmotivated and keeping the peace
between warring factions. Good training for county government.
Leader - Holding the
position as a board member for a variety of business ventures as
well as civic organizations, he knows firsthand what it takes to
lead. Paul also knows when it's time to speak up and be heard; and
when it's time to listen and be silent. Dr. Perry feels that he has
the wisdom to know when to do each.
Entrepreneur - Being
a leader in a medical practice is being a leader in a small
business, Budgets, payrolls, benefit packages, and economic
development are all already a part of his everyday business affairs
and this experience helps his decision making process on the
Council.
Winner - Winning is
an attitude and Paul has fostered that winning attitude all his life
and brings that same feeling of motivation and success to the
Council.
