Steven Smith

Bio

Steven Smith is a financial professional with strong analytical skills and over 20 years of broad based experience in investments, finance and accounting.  He has a proven ability to lead, advise, and provide alternative solutions to complex financial problems for both management and clients alike.

Steven has been a financial advisor for over 15 years.  During that period of time, he has helped hundreds of clients, meet their many different financial goals and objectives, and help them plan for their financial futures.

Steven's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Eastern Illinois University and a Masters in Business Administration from DePaul University. He passed the Uniform CPA exam in 1982.

Goals

Steven has a strong desire to serve the citizens of Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Spencer Counties in Southwest Indiana, in order to help strengthen and build better communities in Southwestern Indiana.

He will work hard to spur economic growth in Southwest Indiana, offering incentives not only for our area youth to stay, work and live here, but also attract other young professionals to relocate here.

Steven will push for new forms of clean energy and aggressively work with other Indiana lawmakers to develop legislative plans for more use of solar panels to not only lessen our dependence on fossil fuels, but also encourage the creation of new jobs.  Solar energy use reduces greenhouse gases and air pollution, as well as making energy distribution more efficient and by creating energy locally, it will save Hoosier families even more money on their utility costs.
